Well I spent a lot of time and energy to get ready for my latest show. I think the presentation was good and everyone seemed to love to look at the paintings. The location was not the best and it looked more like a craft show than an art show. Unfortunately the churches that were involved in the charity were not supportive. There was an extremely low turnout and so hardly anyone sold much except to friends or family. At least I will be more prepared for the next one.
Getting Ready-Rush, rush, rush

I have been busily getting ready for an art show I am in shortly. I have been painting and finishing paintings, making frames, signing, varnishing, making notecards, buying business cards, and a whole host of other things. It seems there is no end to it but I am having a good time. I do hope I make my money back on this adventure. I have been to the fabric store to buy 25 yards of fabric to cover the A frames that the pictures will be displayed on. I still need to cut all the fabric and sew it together. The event is for a charity that 13 churches are involved with. As artists we are donating part of the proceeds to their cause. The show will be on Oct 16,17th in Conyers, GA from 10:00am-5:00pm. I will post a flyer as soon as I get it so you can see the charity and what they do. I would love to see you there. You can preview my work here on this site under oil paintings. There are 50 artists that will be showing work.
Greetings

Posted by Stewart Huntington at 10:56 AMI am creating this new blog so that I can inform
all my friends and clients of my new projects. I
am currently enrolled in a once a week oil
painting class. I have been painting mostly Italian
scenes for an upcoming show in Conyers. I have
also painted a few portraits which my clients were
thrilled with.
